The AZ

Back from a little trip to see my grandparents at their winter home in Arizona. It was nice to escape winter for awhile and when I got back it actually felt a bit more like spring here at home. Some of the funny things about being in the land of snowbirds:

• When driving, it feels like you're still at home because it seems like at least half of the license plates are from ND, SD, MN, & IA
• Being one of the youngest people in the neighborhood (staying in 55+ communities really makes you think about your age)
• Village Inn is the weekend hotspot (for Sunday breakfast)
• I saw this little 80 year old guy shuffling past me wearing a pin that said "Norwegian girls are best!"
