Role Models

At church a couple weeks ago, we recognized a couple from the parish who was celebrating their wedding anniversary.  They slowly rose from the pew when Fr. Elias asked them to come up to the front.  They tried to help each other up the few stairs (Father had to give them an arm as well).  Then he announced that this was their 65th anniversary!  It was pretty cool to see a couple make it to that milestone.  In his typical style, Father proceeded to tell it like it is.  He said that each one had been a cross to the other over the years, but they have stayed true to their commitment and are true role models to us all.
